As human beings, we are constantly seeking a blissful life. Regardless of our endeavors, however, our quest does not necessarily lead us to bliss, but more often to calamities and suffering.

In fact, all suffering of mankind results from the creations of the human mind. As we all know, our mind dictates our speech and physical actions. With the lack of enlightened wisdom and keen awareness, we often fail to foresee any profound consequences. In cases where our mind leads to improper speech or actions that might hurt others, suffering of all parties involved will follow.

Like most other religions, Buddhism teaches us to practice all virtuous deeds and refrain from any negative acts. As stated in the , however, it is only Buddhism that further teaches us to purify our mind. Only when purified can our mind be free of , , and .

We all like to have our lives full of bliss and free of suffering. Without enlightened wisdom, however, we cannot achieve such a goal. As a Buddhist, we practice purifying our mind and thus cultivate our wisdom. With enlightened wisdom, whatever we do can be beneficial to ourselves, others, and eventually to the world. In consequence, the world will be full of bliss.

Therefore, the culture of purifying the human mind in Buddhism is indeed Bliss Culture.
