Combine glutinous rice flour and sugar in a large microwavable bowl.

Pour hot water and stir the mixture evenly.

Place bowl in the microwave (no need to cover bowl), set microwave on high for 1 & 1/2 minute.

Remove bowl from microwave, stir again, until dough is ready.

Coat a large plate with cornstarch, use a corn starch coated spoon to scoop a piece of dough, coat both hands with cornstarch. Roll dough on plate, then press dough to flatten. Put red bean paste in the center of the dough. Carefully wrap up and seal the red bean paste. Place Mochi on the cornstarch coated plate to cool.
